  • I'm sorry for the bad news Jeff. You're decision to stay the course with podcasting and gaming in general shows a lot of courage. Most of us, faced with such devastating news, would feel the need to change course dramatically, to re-align our lifestyle with our true desires. You appear to be satisfied with your choices, an indicator of a life well navigated. Hold fast brother.

  • Jeff, I am so, so sorry to hear what's happening to you. Your news made me sick to heart and I feel like crying. You and Mark have the best podcast, bar none for me. There's a lot of them out there, but you guys quickly became my favorites. Before you guys came along I loved 'Roll 2D6' and I believe that's the one you were referring to when you mentioned knowing the frustration of having a favorite podcast that just slowly fades away without any explanation. After Adam and Nate disappeared I came across you guys and your podcast reminded me so much of them. Not that you weren't unique or didn't have your own style, but you guys struck the same cord with me. You sound like two good friends who love gaming together and when you talk about games I feel like I'm just hanging out with some gaming buddies and chatting about a hobby that we all love. I have to admit that I'm a few episodes behind do to being busy for the last several months, but that's not been a bad thing for me as I savor having several Gameopolis episodes to listen to now. However, now that I've heard your terrible news, I'll do my best to catch up quickly and stay current. Man, I really wish that there was something that I could say or do that would be a help or comfort to you. You can tell Mark that he's got my full support for whatever he wants to do. If there is anything I can do to help you, please let me know. I've never been a real religious guy, but you can bet I'll pray for you. You guys have brought me a lot of hours of enjoyment and entertainment since you've started and I look forward to each and every episode very much. Please take care and just know that you mean a lot to me and I'm sure to a good many others out there too! Take care and I'll be pulling for you! Rick

  • Jeff, I don't know what to say, but that I'm hoping for the very best for you. And thank you both, Jeff and Mark, for the camaraderie and celebration of our hobby. Podcasting is weirdly intimate, given how hosts and listeners may never meet in real life. It's been a real pleasure hearing about your gaming pursuits.

  • Sorry to hear this Jeff. My prayers will be with you. I've really enjoyed the show. I would never have started exploring older Avalon Hill games (before my time) if it were not for the dusty old box. I would love to see Gameopolis continue as long as possible, in whatever form. Thanks Mark and Jeff Simon
