  • This is a case of a funky wireless mouse.... ...You would be limited to small cars (div 5 is cars built for 5000 bucks or less), but you would get about 15 to 20 cars to use for a total cash outlay of only 2 booklets. Regarding 3rd or 4th editions, I would recommend this option if you will have a steady group of players would would be able to internalize the rules more. 3rd and 4th editions are more detailed than 5th edition, and therefore offer a richer play experience, but they do require more player commitment. If you go this route, you\'ll need Ebay, and look for the Car Wars Compendium (preferably black cover with green writing/art).

  • This is cool info to have. I have been eyeing CW for some time now. Always been a Mad Max fan, and your Flickr pics look alot like that genre...Anyone see the remake of Deathrace 2000?!?!? BTW, any clue as to when show 2.0 will be coming out? This show is killer!!!

  • Thanks Jeremy! It\'s good to get the positive feedback. Actually, Mark and I are planning on recording show 2 tomorrow night, so I hope to get it edited and have it available for download in time for the weekend.

  • Hi Ryan, I\\\'m glad you liked the show. We used the same microphones, but we were a little more careful with them - we positioned away from our mouths and covered them with foam windscreens. A lot less percussive that way! I\\\'ll let Jeff answer your question about Car Wars, as he\\\'s the expert. Mark

  • Hey Ryan, First I\'ll add to Mark\'s comment about show sound quality that we\'re also getting better-versed with the audio editing software (it\'s one thing to read the manual...) RE: 5th edition CW versus 3rd-4th edition...I\'d say it depends on how you think you will play the game most often. If you envision lots of infrequent, spontaneous pick-up games, or if you want to learn the game so you can run it at conventions, then I would probably advise you to go to Steve Jackson\'s Games web site and order the 5th edition. I would recommend buying the 3 the 3 Division 10 books first and playing with them for a while. If it resonates well and you think you want more then you can go ahead and order the Division 5 and Division 15 books. The more Division 5, 10, and 15 books you buy, the more cars you will have to use. The cheapest option would be to buy one Division 5 rulebook, and also the Division 5 Vehicle Guide. You would be limited to small cars (Division 5 = cars built for

  • Hey guys, Great show! Way better-sounding than the first show!!! Did u use different microphones or something? Also, I have been thinking about buying CW for some time. So would u recommend this over older versions of the game? --if u were only buying one version.... I cant wait for show 2!!!!
