  • Mark, I'm sincerely sorry to hear about Jeff's passing. Even though Jeff prepared us all for the worst back in July, it's still very shocking. Know that you and Jeff's family are in my prayers.

  • I had only come across the podcast recently, and enjoyed it during my dawn walks. I largely enjoyed it because 'Mark and Jeff' were *nice* guys. Good guys. Talking about nice things. That's something a lot of us need more of in our lives. I was strangely very sad when I heard Mark tell us about Jeff. I mean, he was a complete stranger to me, but... Without Jeff, the world is a little less nice, a little less Good.

  • Mark, I am so sorry to hear this news. From what I heard and from the little that we interacted over email, Jeff was a fantastic person with whom you had a great relationship. I'm glad such a great guy was able to spend his last days being with the people he loved doing what he loved to do. Please extend my condolences to his family. You and everyone affected by this tragic loss are in my family's thoughts.

  • RIP Jeff, he was a brave man and I'm grateful that he shared his love for the hobby even during his illness. You're also a brave man Mark, to support his family and him, through this terrible experience. Blessings to his family and to you, and bless Jeff's soul.

  • Oh man, I am so so sorry, Mark. Jeff was a great guy. Even though I never met him I could just tell by the sound of his voice, the way he talked about games and the joy he conveyed when he chatted with you as you guys did the podcast. I can tell that both of you are guys I would love to game with and just talk to. My heart and prayers go to Jeff's family and to you. I love the podcast and I'll really miss you guys laughing and talking together. I'll listen to them again as I do with all the podcasts that I really love and I'll look forward to Gameopolis starting back up in whatever format you choose. I know that at a time like this, podcasting or really doing about anything is about the furthest from your mind, but rest assured, when you do feel like starting it up again, we will be more than ready to listen in. You and Jeff made Gameopolis something special for a lot of us. It won't be the same without Jeff, of course, but if you're running it then it will still be something special. God Bless you and Jeff and his family.

  • My deepest condolences. I can't imagine how hard it must have been to record that message. Take as much time as you need to get things in order.
